Rolled Alloys in pact with Krupp VDM

Rolled Alloys has entered into an agreement with Krupp VDM to become its exclusive distributor for a new proprietary heat-resistant alloy, named RA602CA. RA602CA provides arguably the best combination of properties of any nickel alloy for use at extreme temperatures. RA602CA is one of the most oxidation-resistant alloys available. It is highly resistant to scaling through 2200F (1200C). This is the result of a high chromium and aluminium content, coupled with a small addition of yttrium. These elements combine to form a very tight and adherent scale at elevated temperatures. The relatively high carbon content of RA602CA, in combination with additions of titanium and zirconium, provide the alloy with excellent creep rupture properties and grain size stability. RA602CA may be considered for applications where it is important to minimise product contamination, while maintaining mechanical integrity at extreme temperatures. Rolled Alloys will initially stock this alloy in plate, sheet, and weld products.
