Organised in the past by Polysoude, Orbital Welding Symposium this year is being organised and co-sponsored by Polysoude and the Tube & Pipe Association (TPA). The Fourth International Orbital Welding Symposium is entitled âAutomated Welding Techniques: influence of orbital welding on design and quality assurance.â? This fourth gathering of orbital welding experts â the first in North America â will be held 22â23 October 2001 in Rosemont, Illinois, USA. The symposium brings together experts in the application and design of orbital welding equipment from around the world. Speakers from Germany, Japan, UK, and North America will represent various organisations, such as the Edison Welding Institute, Siemens, Intel, Toshiba, Lockheed Martin, and others. Speakers will examine steel chemistry and purity issues, focus on welding titanium piping and thin wall piping or overlay applications in rotary welding, and discuss orbital welding techniques or applications as used in various industries.
