On 13 June 2001 ESAB was appointed a member of IPLOCA (International Pipe Line & Offshore Contractors Association). IPLOCA is the service and communications network for pipeline and offshore construction and is operational in 125 countries. ESAB’s application for membership was approved by IPLOCA and the Company was elected mainly owing to our wide ranging and extensive experience and reliability in the field/supply of machines, consumables and technology as applied to pipeline engineering and construction. Letters of reference from ESAB’s pipeline customers also contributed positively to the decision. All ESAB`s units will be included in the official IPLOCA directory and consumable labels from ESAB will now display the IPLOCA’s symbol, which is well known world-wide.
