LSA Laser Services and Automation (Plymouth, Minnesota, USA) has completed its acquisition of Oeuvre Technology, a precision parts manufacturer also located in Plymouth. Oeuvre Technology, established in 1994, specialises in laser cutting and micro-welding of precision metal components for the medical and electronics industry. Oeuvre’s capabilities include welding of round wire as small as 0.002in diameter, and welding very thin-walled tubing down to 0.0015in wall and diameters to 0.010in. These products are fabricated of materials such as stainless steel, platinum, iridium and titanium. Examples of end uses for these components include stents, medical device delivery systems, surgical tools and other medical products.
