Section Manager of TWI’s Laser and Sheet Processes section, Paola De Bono, has been elected to join the Association of Laser Users (AILU) Steering Committee.
Paola has over eight years of specific experience in laser processing for micro-scale applications, including the welding of highly reflective metals and applications using dissimilar materials.
Originally joining TWI as a Project Leader in 2007, Paola went on to become a Senior Project Leader and then the Team Manager for the Lasers and Sheet Processes group, before recently becoming the Section Manager.
Paola is also the Workshop Chair for AILU’s upcoming online webinar on e-Mobility. The webinar will be centred around the topic of electrification, and how laser technologies can help to combat the number of challenges industry are facing as it moves towards rapid electric vehicle (EV) production.
