Stainless steel manual

A complete revision of The Design Manual for Structural Stainless Steel has been published. It is a complete revision of the first edition, which was originally published in 1994. Both editions were prepared by the SCI and published by Euro Inox. The second edition takes into account advances in the understanding of the structural behaviour of stainless steel over the last ten years. It has been updated generally in accordance with Eurocode 3 (ENV 1993-1-1: 1992) and gives design recommendations for stainless steel structures. The original publication covered material, fasteners, fabrication, erection welding etc., but this edition has been extended to cover circular hollow sections and fire resistant design. In the UK, a concessionary copy of the Manual can be obtained from the British Stainless Steel Association.
