Seitovirta, new CEO for Outokumpu

Mika Seitovirta has been appointed the new Chief Executive Officer of Outokumpu by its Board of Directors. He will assume the position effective 1 April 2011, succeeding current CEO, Juha Rantanen, who will leave the position 31 March 2011. Rantanen will support the new CEO until August 2011.Seitovirta has held many executive roles in industrial and consumer sectors. His most recent role was as the President and CEO of Glaston, a global glass technology company in Helsinki. Prior to that, he was the Managing Director of Hartwall, part of the Scottish & Newcastle Group. He also maintained several positions in the Volvo Group in Finland and abroad, including Managing Director of Volvo Auto in Finland. Seitovirta holds a Master of Science degree in Economics.
