Following the Brazil Welding show 2011, Polysoude has announced that it has officially opened its new sales office in Sao Paulo. With 85% of annual sales to the export market, the opening of an office on the South American continent is a contributing factor underlining the group’s constant growth. Currently, the Polysoude group employs 300 people worldwide, 150 based at its head office in Nantes and 150 working at its 13 affiliated subsidiaries and offices around the world. Regarded as a niche market, the TIG orbital, mechanized welding and cladding market has nevertheless made a mark in many industries such as Food, Pharmaceutical, Aerospace, Chemical and Biochemical. The energy production and transporting sector has added to the continual expansion of its process and product range. Polysoude has focused its applications and its sales organization on several areas including the expansion of its direct sales network in emerging countries such as China, India and now Brazil; product design and process development, in particular, in the sector of electrical power plants (narrow gap welding for gas turbines, primary circuit welding in the nuclear industry, cladding for first fit and maintenance); and systematic use of TIG Hot Wire process: a technology permitting an increase in productivity up to 300% compared to the standard TIG Cold Wire process.
