Norway: Sleipner Riser contract

Statoil, as operator for Sleipner, has awarded Aker Kvaerner a contract for transport and installation of the Langeled riser at the Sleipner Riser platform. The total contract is valued at approximately NOK 50 million. The scope of work will be executed by the subsidiary Aker Marine Contractors and includes engineering, transport and installation of two connected risers at the Sleipner Riser Platform in the North Sea. The engineering will start immediately and offshore transportation and installation will be performed in June 2005. The risers are under fabrication at Vetco Aible in Haugesund.
