Osaka Gas investment

Osaka Gas Co. will invest 313.5 billion yen (USD 2.66 billion) in capital investment over three years starting in fiscal 2003, with particular emphasis on growth sectors, including electric power generation.

Steam generators at Belgian nuclear plant replaced

Westinghouse Electric Company has won a USD 11.8 million contract with the European energy company Electrabel to replace the two steam generators in operation at Unit 2 of the Doel nuclear power plant in Belgium.

Murmansk pipeline memorandum

Lukoil, Sibneft, Yukos and Tyumen Oil Company (TNK) have signed a memorandum of mutual understanding to create an oil pipeline system to transport oil through an oil terminal close to Murmansk.

Ammonia plant bids

Chilean explosives company Enaex could call for bids in March 2003 for the construction of a USD 120–130 million ammonia plant at Mejillones in Chile's Region II, Enaex CEO Camilo Sandoval has said.
