Phoenix Tube invest USD 8.1M to expand Bethlehem plant

Phoenix Tube Co. has committed USD 8.1M to expand its Bethlehem operations. The company plans to build a 52,000-square-foot facility on two acres it owns adjacent to its existing facility. A new production line will manufacture small diameter stainless steel, titanium, and nickel alloy pressure tubing used by the construction industry. The project is expected to retain 135 jobs and create 30 full-time positions in the next three years.

The Department of Community and Economic Development submitted a funding proposal for a USD 50,000 workforce development grant to train new workers, a USD 90,000 Pennsylvania First grant, and a USD 2.65M in Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority loans.
