Vattenfall signs wind power contract with Gamesa

The Spanish wind power manufacturer Gamesa will be supplying the 18 wind turbines to Vattenfall’s largest onshore wind farm in Sweden, the Höge Väg wind farm in Kristianstad in Scania province. The contract is worth EUR 34.2M.

This is the first time that Gamesa has supplied turbines to a wind farm owned by Vattenfall. “This contract with Vattenfall, one of the world’s leading energy suppliers, is a sign of confidence in Gamesa’s technical solutions. The contract also marks a milestone in our product and sales strategy for northern Europe, and especially in Sweden, one of our prioritised marketsâ€?, says Ricardo Chocarro, CEO of Gamesa’s European operations.
