Van Leeuwen wins Sakhalin contract

Van Leeuwen Buizen’s Process Industry division has been awarded with contracts worth more than EUR 15 million for the supply of pipes, fittings and flanges for phases 1 and 2 of the Sakhalin Island project off Russia’s east coast. ABB Lummus Global Inc. has placed the contract for phase 1 with Wilson Supply, the American alliance partner for the Van Leeuwen Pipe and Tube Group. Dutch subsidiary Van Leeuwen Buizen will source, supply and marshal 8000 tons of piping material at its Singapore location. The contract for phase 2 was placed by Parsons Ltd with Van Leeuwen Buizen and covers the supply of 3000 tons of piping material for the onshore gas processing facility. The first materials for this project have already been shipped and deliveries are expected to be complete by the year’s end.
