Valve World 2002 brings sales success to SSF

Stainless Steel Fasteners, a world leader in bespoke fastener solutions, has reported that its attendance at the Valve World Exhibition was an overwhelming success, with the expectation of two large orders from Spain and Russia. The biannual event, which took place in Maastricht, The Netherlands, was attended by a record number of organisations including conglomerates and small specialised companies from around the world. SSF used the exhibition to showcase its expertise in producing bespoke components for valves used in the oil & gas, energy, minerals, chemical and related industries world-wide. Alongside SSF, the company’s Dutch Agent, Anker Agenturen, was present to discuss with visitors specific projects and describe how the quality of the materials used by SSF and its technical expertise provide highly effective results.
The exhibition was an unequivocal success for SSF, who had visitors to its stand from around the globe, including mainland Europe, Scandinavia, UK, Middle East, Ireland and South America. The company received over 100 very positive contacts and leads from not only the valve industry but also allied industries.
Commenting upon the success, managing director, Stephen Wilkinson said, “It was great to be at an event designed specifically to highlight the expertise and products available within the valve industry. It gave us an opportunity to meet with a global audience and demonstrate our product effectively and to its fullest potential. In addition to our own stand, it was great to see our product demonstrated on a number of exhibitor stands, throughout the venue. International exhibitions such as Valve World are increasingly important to SSF, as we compete on a global stage. It was encouraging to receive so many enquiries from around the world and the expectation of two new orders were just the icing on the cake for what to us has been three spectacular days.â€?
To cope with its global expansion, SSF have consolidated its manufacturing facilities in the UK from a two site operation into a single, larger more modern site. In addition the company has made a significant investment in new technology at the site, with the purchase of a CNC machining centre. Both of these changes have occurred in the last 12 months and have been
designed to ensure that the company has the flexibility and speed necessary to meet the ever changing demands of a global market.
Established since 1965, Stainless Steel Fasteners is one of the world leaders in fastener technology, with a UK manufacturing base and network of agents throughout the world. Despite the name, the company not only deals in high quality stainless steel components but also 50 other grades of raw material including; nickel and copper alloys, titanium, aluminium and other materials to suit specific applications.
