Jindal Strips to buy Salem Steel

Salem Steel, SAIL’s stainless steel unit in Tamilnadu, India, will finally be sold to Jindal Strips by the end of November. The lone bidder for Salem Plant, Jindal Strips, India’s largest stainless steel company, has already started scouting for a long-term supply arrangement for ferrochrome to meet increased demand. Ferrochrome is a major raw material for stainless steel.
