Titanium casting delivered

Norway-based Aero Titanium AS has delivered a massive titanium casting to UK-based Koso Kent Introl Ltd. The cast body of the 20in Class 300 globe control valve has a rough weight of 1100 kgs and is the world’s largest single piece titanium casting produced in recent years. The full set of titanium castings including the bonnet and internal parts was delivered from the titanium foundry of the Zelenodolsk Plant as part of a delivery for the White Rose FPSO project located offshore Canada and operated by Husky Energy. Located on the bank of the great River Volga in Russia, 800km east of Moscow, the titanium foundry at the Zelenodolsk Plant is named after A.M. Gorky and has a forty-year history of supplying both large and small titanium castings to offshore, marine and chemical projects. In total, over 2tns of castings were produced according to requirements of NORSOK M 650 Rev 3 qualification and delivered on schedule following successful on site inspection and audit by Koso Kent Introl Ltd.
