BUTTING, manufacturer of high-quality, stainless steel, longitudinally welded pipes has recently invested in an automated press system in Knesebeck.

In February 2015, BUTTING gained ISO 50001 certification for the first time for successful systematic energy management.

The Schulz Group has appointed Dr Iris Rommerskirchen as the new senior vice president, Business and Product Development, as part of the management team effective 19 January 2015.

In the second quarter of this year, the family-owned company will take a new workshop in Brazil into service to manufacture vessels, tanks and ready-for-installation components from corrosion-resistant and clad materials.

BUTTING has won its largest single order in its 230 year history. The order, from Subsea 7, is for 84km of clad pipes for the Guará-Lula NE field project in Brazil. Part of the largest pre-salt oil fields discovered by Petrobras, the Guará-Lula NE fields are located in the Santos basin off the coast of Brazil.

BUTTING has officially opened their new 130,000m² production centre in Tieling, China. The opening took place in the presence of the regional party chairman, the managing directors of BUTTING, Mr. Hermann Butting and Mr. Markus Bartsch, and the managers of BUTTING China

BUTTING’s DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 certification has been renewed. This certification is designed to test the quality management of a company, concentrating on process orientation, system oriented management and constant improvement.
