Statoil develops Mikkel gas field

Norway’s state-controlled oil and gas firm Statoil says it had submitted a plan for development and operation (PDO) for the Norwegian Sea gas and condensate Mikkel field. The field is scheduled to come on stream by October 2003 and produce until 2017, Statoil said. Development costs for the Mikkel field were estimated at NOK 2.4 billion Norwegian crowns (USD 255 million).
