Belec Spektrometrie Opto-Elektronik (Germany) has appointed Alrad Instruments as its UK distributor for its range of spectrometers for metal analysis. Belec produce two different Spectrometers. The Compact Port is a portable laboratory for metal analysis. The unit weights just 17kg, but it is an extremely powerful spectrometer.
The spectrometer can handle a wide range of different materials including steel, copper, aluminium, nickel, titanium and cobalt-based alloys. As well as analysing the normal metallic elements these tricky elements such as carbon, phosphorus and sulphur, can be determined down to trace levels. The spectrometer is designed for portable use and can easily be transported from site to site. The Compact Port can be used as a high accuracy analyser or a quick reference measuring instrument depending on the requirements of the user.
