Oman to expand gas facilities

Oman, encouraged by new hydrocarbon finds, has embarked on a major project to expand its gas facilities. Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), which controls the bulk of the Gulf country’s energy sector, is carrying out the project in central Oman, where most of the natural gas is concentrated. Oman’s gas reserves are estimated at around 30 trillion cubic feet, but are set to be revised upward with the latest discoveries.
