The Bureau of International Recycling has announced that Jan Bender, head of sales co-ordination at ThyssenKrupp Nirosta, will be the keynote speaker of the Stainless Steel & Special Alloys Committee plenary session on 25 May. The session is one of many commodity-specific sessions scheduled during BIR’s spring meeting in Berlin, Germany, on 24–26 May. Bender will draw a general picture of stainless steel availability and demand, give an insight into his company’s activities and analyse the global need of scrap as raw material for future stainless steel production worldwide.
