Power on, spatter gone

The new Robacta TC cleaning system from TPS-Fronius aims to remove welding spatter cheaply and effectively. When welding steel, it replaces conventional mechanical cleaning (milling or reaming) with an electro-magnetic coil, which removes spatter without contact. Consumable life is increased dramatically as no damage occurs to parts, e.g. tip-holder and gas nozzle. The TCP (Tool Centre Point) is unaffected as no clamping is involved. Running costs are also remarkably low as there are no moving parts.
