Spectro has introduced its new spectrometer, the SPECTROSORT CCD Metal Analyser. It is the only battery operated hand-held OE spectrometer, and can identify metal chemistry and alloys in less than 4 seconds. The company claims that the purchase price and operating costs of the SPECTROSORT CCD are the lowest in the industry. The system includes: carry case, belt and holster and reference samples. The instrument weighs less than 2½ lbs.
