A new special steel wire rod line started hot operation at Aceros Inoxidables Olarra SA (Rodacciai Group), Spain. The line, supplied by Danieli, is made up of two 2-pass twist-free pre-finishing blocks, 8-pass Delta type heavy-duty finishing block, controlled cooling line (including water quenching for some steel grades) and coil forming station. It is designed for production of 5.5mm to 16mm diameter wire rod in all range of austenitic and ferritic stainless steel grades. Maximum finishing speed is 80 mps, and the maximum coil weight is 1500kg.
