NSSC signs deal with Outokumpu

Nippon Steel & Sumikin Stainless (NSSC), has announced an agreement with Outokumpu to acquire the European stainless mill’s technology for producing its LDX 2101 grade duplex stainless. The agreement runs from 2007−2021 and will involve some training of NSSC staff. NSSC currently produces about 800tns/mnth of its own duplex varieties making it Japan’s largest maker of this type of stainless.
