Norway: Technip wins Norne contract

Technip announces that Technip Offshore Norge AS, its Norwegian affiliate, has been awarded by Statoil a contract related to the subsea portion of the Norne Satellites Project in the Norwegian part of the North Sea. The contract, valued at approximately EUR 10.8 million, includes fabrication and installation of a 9km-long 12.6 inch internal diameter (ID) production flowline and a 12km long 5 inch ID gas lift flowline. The production flowline will be cladded internally with 316L stainless steel and installed with a heat tracing cable. This will be the first clad pipe installed using the reel pipelay method. The project engineering will be performed at Technip’s Oslo office. The flowlines will be fabricated at the Group’s welding base in Orkanger and installed by the Apache vessel during summer 2005.
