Nitty-Gritty equipment

Orbimatic (UK) has added its new Nitty-Gritty weld cleaning and marking systems to their range of products. Nitty-Gritty equipment can be used for removal of oxides which are left from TIG welding stainless steel, local electro-polishing and as well as marking of metal surfaces. All these operations can be carried out with a single machine. Two models are available to suit the needs of the operator and amount of cleaning/marking the machine will handle. Each machine is supplied with a cleaning probe and consumable starter kit, this can then be complimented with a marking kit which then allows the machine to be used to mark as well as clean. Marking screens can be supplied to suit customer requirements and complicated logos and images can be reproduced in a variety of sizes. Two marking modes allow different marking styles to be achieved, the DC marking mode produces an image that gives the impression of an etched image. The AC marking mode produces an image which looks similar to a screen printed finish. Both marking methods produce a permanent mark which will not be removed during routine cleaning or sterilising operations.
