In March 2002 Pervouralsky Novotrubny Works incorporated a new marketing company, Tirus Stainless, as an exclusive distributing agent in stainless steel tubes and pipes. Oleg Kulyk was appointed Chairman of the Board of Tirus. Since 1994 Oleg Kulyk, 38, has been employed with Uvis Ltd, a distributing company originated in Ukraine. He was later appointed head of the Foreign Co-operation Division of the company’s Russian department.
Before joining Tirus each member of the team worked in the field of stainless steel tubes production, sales or export. Thus a wide range of personal experience in manufacturing and distribution, and a good reputation were combined in the new company.
The history of Pervouralsky Novotrubny Works dates back to the year of 1702 when an iron ore deposit was open at the bottom of the Volchikha (“She-wolfâ€?) Mountain of the Urals. Later, in 1732, an iron-foundry was founded nearby. It took over two centuries to go, and in 1934 the first batch of cold-finished tubes was produced.
