New grinding machine from Huntingdon

Stainless steel is mostly welded with the TIG process which uses a tungsten electrode to help transfer the welding arc to the workpiece. As the electrode requires a point and the point deteriorates frequently, a proper tungsten electrode grinding machine is needed for quality and repeatable results. Huntingdon Fusion Techniques Ltd has designed, developed and manufactured a new model for the 21st century, the TEG – 3. It has been designed especially for the grinding of tips on tungsten electrodes as used in TIG and Plasma welding of stainless steels. The TEG – 3 grinder will axially grind, as recommended by the experts, all diameters and lengths of tungsten welding electrode and it is fitted with a long-life diamond wheel that gives the equivalent of three man years of grinding life.
