Thomson Precision Ball has a new family of balls made from inert titanium. Guaranteed to meet ISO standards and manufactured in an ISO9002/QS9000 plant, this new line of precision ball products conforms to the standards of the American Bearing Manufacturers Association (ANSI/ABMA Std 10-1989). Thomson titanium balls are available in two materials: type 6AL4V and type 6AL4V-ELI. The company believes that among the benefits are: inert material; light weight; exceptional anti-corrosive properties; effective operation in high temperature applications; high tensile/compression strength; and expansion properties similar to steel. Thomson precision balls are available in a choice of 27 high-performance materials, including type 316L surgical stainless steel, 52100 chrome steel, stainless steels, Monel, K-Monel, bronze, brass, non-ferrous, plastic and ceramic/silicon nitride.
