L. & T. may bid to build India power plant

Larsen & Toubro Ltd may bid for construction of a nuclear power plant to be built by the Indian government, with support from Russia, in Tamilnadu state, a company official has said. The official, who asked not to be identified, said he did not have details on the size of the project, adding that bidding for the project has not opened yet. “We and HCC (Hindustan Construction Co.) are qualified to build nuclear power plants and we may bid for this project which is supported by Russia,” he added.
