Khartoum power plant

Daar Ikhtisas Company (Malaysia) will construct a 257mw power plant in Khartoum (Sudan). At a cost of around USD 277 million. It will begin generating power in 2004 and will become the property of the Sudanese Electricity Commission after 25 years’ operation. This project is part of plans by the Sudanese Ministry of Energy and Mining to sign agreements with international companies to increase power generation to solve electricity supply problems in the country.
