Jonsson retires from president and CEO of Saab

Jan Åke Jonsson will retire from his position as President and CEO of Saab Automobile AB (Saab) effective 19 May, 2011. The search for a successor is currently underway and Jonsson has agreed to assist Saab’s Management with a smooth transition to his successor by remaining available until 1 September 2011. Victor Muller will assume the role of President and CEO of Saab Automobile AB, in addition to his role as Chairman of the Board, until a successor to Jonsson is appointed. Jonsson played an instrumental role in the survival of the company as well as Saab’s transition into an independent car company.
