Annual Meeting. The 2003 awards will be presented to Mr Rodney Boyer, Boeing Commercial Airplane Group; Mr. Richard A. Sandquist, now retired from Axel Johnson
Metals, Inc.; and Mr. Kazuyasu Kitaoka, now retired from the Japan Titanium Society for their outstanding career achievements on Tuesday, 8 October 2002 at the ITA annual meeting in Orlando, Florida.
Mr Boyer will receive his award for development and expertise associated with new uses and applications for titanium alloys in airframes. Mr Sandquist will receive the award for his work in international titanium scrap procurement, processing, and recycling, leading to the development of the cold hearth melting industry. Mr Kitaoka is recognised for his leadership in forging a bond between the Japan Titanium Society and the International Titanium Association.
