Inco Ltd has announced the appointment of Farokh S. Hakimi as Executive Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr Hakimi replaces George C. Halatsis, who has resigned as Executive Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer to assume a position with
another firm. Mr Hakimi joined Inco in January 2002 as a consultant focusing on strategic planning and related areas. He previously was Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer of Rio Algom Ltd from January 2000 to July 2001. He also held a number of senior financial positions at Cyprus Amax Minerals Company between 1986 and 1999, including Vice-President and Treasurer.
