Hydrogen plant in Chile

Technip USA Corporation, in consortium with Ingeníera y Construcción Sigdo Koppers SA (I&CSK), has been awarded by CHBB a contract worth about USD 26 million for the engineering, procurement, construction and start-up of a 25 MMSCFD hydrogen plant to be located in the Petrox Refinery in Talcahuano, Chile. CHBB (Compañia de Hidrógeno del Bío-Bío SA) is a special-purpose company formed by Sigdo Koppers SA (90%), ENAP (5%) and Petrox SA (5%). The plant will be designed based on Technip’s hydrogen technology provided by Technip Claremont in California. Engineering, procurement and project management will be delivered by Technip Houston in Texas. Construction will be provided by I&CSK.
