Iran tenders South Pars 15 and 16

Iran has put the development of phases 15 and 16 of the offshore South Pars gas field out to international tender, Iran’s Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh has said. Companies interested in developing these phases of the country’s largest gas field, located in the Persian Gulf, have until September to deliver their bids, he said, without elaborating. The Iranian Parliament has given the Oil Ministry authorisation to go ahead with the development of 18 phases in the giant gas field. Contracts on 10 phases have been already finalised. Zanganeh had previously said that the gas field could be developed in up to 28 phases.
