Lasertech has introduced the DML 80, a laser machine for high precision 2D and 3D cutting, welding, and drilling. The Deckel Maho subsidiary presented the DML 80 series as a new generation for flexible, dynamic, precise cutting and drilling of sheet metal between 0.1 and 3.0mm. Features include machine precision of 10micron (Pmax), positioning speeds up to 120m/min, and accelerations up to 2G. The system has an X/Y-axis compound table with highly dynamic linear drives and a solid machine bed of polymer concrete on the three-point support. The result is vibration-free, the highest possible precision for all machining operations. The DML 80 is also flexible in the choice of laser source. The laser is manipulated directly via the Siemens 840D powerline, whose full potential is accessed from an ergonomic stainless steel operator console with TFT screen. The modular machine concept with 3, 4, or 5 CNC axes makes the DML 80 ideal for flexible applications both for fine 2D and 3D cutting and for laser drilling and welding applications.
