A subsidiary of Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. has won a contract for the expansion of existing Novartis facilities in Grimsby, UK. The contract is for project management, engineering, design, procurement, validation and construction management services. Officials estimate the contract value at approximately USD 50 million, with project completion forecast for September 2003. The expansion programme, which supports the production of an active pharmaceutical ingredient, significantly enhances the current production capacity and additionally provides further expansion capability for the site.
