FMC and Statoil in North Sea pact

FMC Technologies Inc. has announced that its FMC Energy Systems business has signed an agreement with Statoil ASA to provide equipment and technology solutions for the Mikkel Development Project in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea. The contract is valued at approximately USD 40 million. The Mikkel Field is a tie-back to the Asgard B platform. The subsea completion solution will be provided by FMC Kongsberg Subsea, the company’s Norwegian-based subsidiary. The solution comprises two subsea templates with manifolds and three subsea trees, umbilicals, jumpers and the control system.
