DNV (Det Norske Veritas) has recently prepared a new recommended practice (RP) denoted DNV RP-F201, “Design of Titanium Risers”. The RP is available at https://exchange.dnv.com/ExchangeWeb/Publications/dwpubs.asp?p=339. It is the result of a joint industry project with participants from RTI Energy Systems, Wyman Gordon, TIMET, Aker Technology, Norsk Hydro, Statoil, Nippon Steel and VSMPO in addition to DNV. The project RP was presented at the SS conference in Netherlands 2001 (P0144), while the DNV RP was presented at the OMAE conference in Norway 2002 (OMAE2002-28474).
