Chemical education

One of the most comprehensive educational conference programmes available to chemical process industries professionals will take place at the 50th edition of the Chem Show, 18–20 November 2003, at the Jacob Javitz Convention Center in New York City. Dealing with advances in process control, plant operation and maintenance, fluids handling, bulk solids handling, environmental protection and other topics, the programme will feature top industry experts from associations and corporations from around the world. For the first time, the Chem Show educational conference is being developed by Chemical Engineering magazine in conjunction with Chemical Week Associates Conference Group. Various associations will also be contributing to the programme.
This year’s conference includes more than 20 technical sessions, management forums, operations workshops, tutorials and short courses addressing an array of industry trends, innovations and new developments. With more than 70 presentations derived from seven tracks, attendees will be able to create a customised program to meet their specific needs. The seven tracks are: Bulk Solids Handling; Instrumentation, Automation, Control; Operations, Maintenance, Safety, Environmental Protection; Fluid Handling; Fluid Sealing; Advances in Process Technology; Get the Most Out of Consultants; Energy Efficiency Through Air-Pollution Control.
