Celebrating one year of Alleima

Alleima has been a manufacturer of high value-added products in advanced stainless steels and special alloys.

The Sandvik AB Annual General Meeting decided to distribute all shares in Alleima to the shareholders of Sandvik.

Alleima is a combination of the words “alloy” and “material”, two core strengths of the company’s business. Shareholders of Sandvik received one share in Alleima for every five shares held in Sandvik.

During the year, Alleima noticed a strong demand in the Oil & Gas, Industrial Heating, Transportation and Medical segments and received a breakthrough order of Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG) tubes to be used for a carbon capture and storage (CCS) project. Alleima received a breakthrough order of steam generator tubes for Small Modular Reactors (SMR) and a larger order for the Medical segment.

Also, Alleima acquired Endosmart and Söderfors Steel.

Alleima also invested in a new product line in Mehsana, India and launched new products, such as Freeflex™, Damax™ and nickel alloys with Sanicro 625®.
