    Lindqvist new CEO of SSAB

    SSAB has appointed Martin Lindqvist as their new CEO. At present, he is the head of the company's largest business area, SSAB EMEA and will succeed Olof Faxander effective 1 January 2011.

    Izhorskiye Zavody wins petrochemical equipment ten

    Izhorskiye Zavody, a part of OMZ Group, has won an international tender from OAO TAIF-NK. The company will produce petrochemical equipment for the OAO TAIF-NK oil refinery in Tatarstan Republic, Nizhnekamsk.

    TATA Steel opens processing centre

    WPG commits to iron ore startup

    WPG Resources has committed to the startup of the Peculiar Knob iron ore project located in South Australia. Set to begin in 2011, the development decision is conditional upon the completion of a USD 120 million funding package from Deutsche Bank in addition to USD 82 million in equity.

    Phu Quy island wind power plant underway

    PetroVietnam Power Corporation has begun construction on their Phy Quy wind power plant project located on Phu Quy Island in Binh Thuan. The VND 335 billion plant is scheduled for completion in February 2011.
