Carbon-to-austenitic welding manual

The American Welding Society (AWS), in co-operation with the Welding Research Council and with the approval of the American National Standards Institute, has published five new Standard Welding Procedure Specifications (SWPSs) for Gas Tungsten and Shielded Metal Arc Welding of Carbon Steel to Austenitic Stainless Steel, primarily for pipe applications. Readers of these new Standards will learn base metals, operating conditions, filler metal specifications, and the allowable joint designs to fabricate groove and fillet welds between carbon and austenitic stainless steels.
