Canadian co-generation

Canada’s PanCanadian Petroleum Ltd has said that its Energy Services division intends to build a co-generation natural gas fired 85mw power plant in Medicine Hat, Alberta under a memorandum of understanding with Canadian Fertilizers Ltd (CFL). The co-generation facility will be developed and owned by PanCanadian, and will provide steam to CFL. Locating the co-generation project at CFL’s Fertilizer Complex is expected to create operating efficiencies and long-term cost savings for CFL.
