Waste heat recovery unit in Thailand

Foster Wheeler AG (Nasdaq: FWLT) announced that a subsidiary of its Global Engineering and Construction Group has been awarded a contract by Samsung Engineering Co. Ltd. (Samsung) for a waste heat recovery unit for PTT Public Company Limited’s (PTT) Power Generation and Heat Recovery project at the Map Ta Phut Industrial Complex in Thailand. Samsung is PTT’s engineering, procurement and construction and pre-commissioning contractor for this project. In 2010, Foster Wheeler successfully delivered two similar waste heat recovery units to Samsung for PTT. The design for all three units is in accordance with applicable environmental standards. The Foster Wheeler contract value for the project was included in the company’s second-quarter 2012 bookings. Foster Wheeler will design, engineer and supply the waste heat recovery unit, including a selective catalytic reduction system and other associated equipment. Delivery of the waste heat recovery unit to site is expected during the third-quarter of 2013.
