Recently, Amec Foster Wheeler organised a Men of Action – WISE World Café event. On of the major conclusion from the event was that the male executives need to challenge some of their perceptions and do more to create opportunities for women to build careers in science and engineering.
Gas-to-chemicals complex contract Foster Wheeler
Foster Wheeler AG announced that a subsidiary of its Global Engineering and Construction Group has been awarded a contract by Petrobras for a world-scale grassroots gas-to-chemicals complex in Linhares, Espirito Santo State, southeast Brazil. Foster Wheeler will provide basic engineering design, front-end engineering design, and technical assistance and training during the engineering, procurement, construction phase through to successful completion of the plant performances tests.
Waste heat recovery unit in Thailand
Foster Wheeler AG (Nasdaq: FWLT) announced that a subsidiary of its Global Engineering and Construction Group has been awarded a contract by Samsung Engineering Co. Ltd. (Samsung) for a waste heat recovery unit for PTT Public Company Limited’s (PTT) Power Generation and Heat Recovery project at the Map Ta Phut Industrial Complex in Thailand.
Coker contract for BP whiting refinery in USA
Foster Wheeler Ltd has announced that its subsidiary Foster Wheeler USA Corp., part of its Global Engineering and Construction Group, has been awarded contracts by BP Products North America for the engineering, procurement and fabrication of a 102,000bpsd six-drum delayed coking unit and gas plant facilities at BP’s Whiting refinery in Indiana, USA.
