Iron ore dock completed at Dongjiakou

Construction of a 400,000 ton capacity iron ore dock at Dongjiakou deepwater port at Qingdao, Shandong Province, China was completed on October 4th 2010 with basic operations at the dock expected to start by the end of December of 2010. At 510m long, 40m wide and with a depth of 24.5m, it is the first dock in China with an annual handling capacity of 400,000tns. Total investment in the construction was CNY 3.8 billion.
