Niger Uranium invests in Nickel

Niger Uranium Limited will invest ZAR 25 million for nickel exploration in South Africa and Zimbabwe in order to garner substantial, low grade but lucrative, open-pittable sulphide nickel mineralization. The commitment was made after establishing a JV with Southern African Nickel Limited (SANL), partial owner and current developer of a host of significant nickel projects in Southern Africa. Based on previous data and up to date geophysics, the Burgersfort project in the Mpumalanga province of South Africa was chosen as the flagship target after several shallow nickel targets and three deeper targets for massive sulphide mineralization were identified. Additional large nickel targets in the Bushveld region are also being pursued through the joint venture. The investment will be made over the next 20 months and the execution of the program, including sampling and metallurgical evaluations has been sub contracted to a South African based exploration company, Pangea Exploration (Pty) Ltd.
